Crealab: a new space for digital creativity.
Since September 2024, Maks vzw has been temporarily occupying the former offices of Acier Wauters for a minimum of two years, with the aim of turning them into a real digital laboratory for young people. This new space, called Crealab, has been specially designed for the activities of the Makers Club and Capital Digital and offers a tailor-made space for children and teenagers with a passion for technology.
Crealab was designed as a warm and inspiring space and was furnished with the help of the young people themselves. It features state-of-the-art programming and robotics equipment: Micro:Bit, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LEGO Mindstorms and various tools to help young people experiment and innovate. Thanks to the support of the Bernard, Gonda and Emily Vergnes Fund, we have been able to purchase a laser cutter and 3D printers, which enriches Crealab’s offering and opens up new creative possibilities.
With a capacity of 25 children, Crealab is a true space for experimentation and exchange, where young people can develop their skills in a stimulating and inclusive environment.
