Active job search
Active job search (AZW) is a project carried out by Maks vzw as a partner of Actiris since 2005. Within the AZW project, our consultants guide jobseekers towards employment and training.
They help jobseekers, through training and personal coaching, to find and secure a job. AZW Anderlecht caters to Anderlecht’s jobseekers and our consultants see around 150 jobseekers each.
COVID-19 put strong pressure on our operation. Our collective information sessions for new jobseekers were cancelled for the time being. The same applied to our workshops. Sensing that the need for our workshops was high, we restarted our workshops from July 2020. Digitally strong profiles we helped further online. People without digital access could still make an appointment with a counsellor from June 2020. These appointments were organised behind plexi and in a well-ventilated room. It is important to note that in 2021, our operation moved from George Moreau Street 36 to Jorez Street 11.
Molenbeek expansion
From 2021, our AZW project operation will also be located at 22 Mommaertstraat in Molenbeek. There, you will not only find our offer of advanced computer classes, but also an Open Studio and an antenna of our Actiris – AZW project. From then on, jobseekers in Molenbeek can also turn to Maks in Molenbeek for help, training and guidance in their job search.
