Maks Graphic Agency: 2 target groups complement each other

The Graphic Office of Maks vzw wants to make the world of design more accessible to everyone. Also for people from underprivileged neighbourhoods, without a diploma, in sometimes vulnerable situations. We also want to improve communication for a more inclusive society. We help non-profit clients with their mission by designing good branding or websites. We help them in making an impactful, efficient and fruitful communication. The Graphic Agency aims to develop quality communication with a positive impact for client and society.
64 print projects (Posters, Reports, etc.) | 3 visual identities | 6 web sites | 22 websites maintenance contracts | 6 Newsletters | 9 video projects | 39 various customers

The graphic agency has two target groups. Firstly, graphic and web designers in training are central to us. They learn the right work attitude and tools that they will later need for the job market.

A second target group are our customers. They are important partners who support our mission as a training center, by trusting us. The graphic agency designs and produces everything for their internal and/or external communication.

At Maks vzw, graphic designers get the opportunity to immediately work on real projects and learn by doing. These are valuable additional elements for their portfolio.

New branding, graphic design for VECK

The VECK (Flemish Expertise Centre for Child Abuse) approached the graphic agency for a series of assignments. For a website of Flemish youth movements, we created the branding, graphic design and navigation interface. The site offers tools for detecting and preventing child abuse. It is a project commissioned by the Opgroeien Agentschap and Benjamin Dalle, Flemish Minister for Welfare and Youth. These are major players in this market and it makes our trainee staff proud. We also realised a diagnostic tool and a plan of action for nurses in their network for VECK, as well as four videos to train hospital staff in detecting and addressing child abuse. This collaboration was obviously very interesting for our staff. We worked on a complete package: the development of a logo, the design of a website interface, posters and leaflets, the creation of various illustrations to be used throughout the project. This is in contrast to other assignments where we often get partial assignments ex: a logo, a leaflet, …

The client was happy with our work and our staff are able to enrich their portfolios with great new work.
